The Dell XPS 15's Keyboard Has Magnetically Levitating Keys
When you think magnetic levitation, you probably think of the futuristic Maglev trains being proposed by Elon Musk and other transportation innovators, but laptop maker Dell is incorporating similar technology into its latest convertible laptops.
Unveiled at CES 2018, the new and improved Dell XPS 15 is a laptop that features special magnets located underneath its keys. The buoyancy generated by the magnets ensures a smooth and extraordinarily pleasing typing experience that enhances productivity as well as comfort.
While computing solutions look towards the future and the embrace of things like holographic displays and artificial intelligence, the fact of the matter is that old-world tactile sensations are still favored by computer users, which is something Dell's convertible laptops are taking into consideration.
