'The Baxters' Promotes Happy, Clean Workspaces and Joyful Art
'The Baxters' is a family of rear-mounted iMac storage solutions that provide a hiding place for devices plugged into an iMac.
Various devices that must be plugged into the iMac clutter the desktop and are completely visible and in reach of visitors, including children. This problem is made worse when the back of the iMac is out in the open for all to see. One can slide a Baxter on the back of an iMac and completely hide the devices, making them accessible, but out of sight and out of reach of others.
With an iMac backing a wall, a Baxter can be used to hide connected hard drives, cables and desktop clutter. When the back of the computer faces people, it's possible to add personality with custom printed artwork. There are five Baxter options–Nigel (one shelf), Mary (two shelves), Shira (a six-shelf HD rack), Joe (two shelves with eight cable wraps and slots) and Art (an art canvas only, no shelf). People can only get a Baxter by pledging on Kickstarter during the month of December.
